Dimples BBQ Chicken - Recipe/Review

I LOVE a good Barbecue sauce!!  When Dimples contacted me about donating an item for our 10,000 facebook fan giveaway, I was so excited!  Of course, I asked if they might send me some, so I could cook with it!  They agreed, and here we are!

I tasted this sauce before I began cooking.  It's sweet and not spicy at all.  I knew my kids would LOVE it.  I was right!  (I tend to always buy the spicier barbecue sauces and my husband and Ella complain!)  I kept this super simple!  Easy peasy as I like to say!  Give it a try!

Here is a link to the retailers carrying Dimples BBQ Sauce.  Or, you can order it online.  Also, be sure to friend them on facebook to keep up with all the latest!

Ingredients:
1.5 lbs. Bone-In Chicken, skin removed
3/4 cup Dimples BBQ Sauce

Directions: (I used a 2 Quart Slow-Cooker)
Take the skin off your chicken and place it in the bottom of your crock.

Pour the bbq sauce over the top and turn the chicken so that it is completely coated.

Cook on LOW for 7-8 hours, or on HIGH for 3.5-4 hours.
Enjoy!

  1. I have no doubts that your kids loved this delightful meal! The sauce looks so thick and rich, and I think any meat you could pair with it will suffice. But the chicken you used doesn’t look like just any meat, it looks so fresh and would make a fine dish even without the sauce. Putting the two together, you created an amazing meal for special occasions. Thanks for sharing this recipe, and have fun cooking!
